About McNay Art Museum

McNay Art Museum is a great destination for families who want to learn more about art, not to mention is the first modern art museum in Texas! Throughout a 25-acre campus, the McNay Art Museum features paintings, sculptures, works on paper, and more, offering a unique art experience filled with inspiration and beauty.
Children under 12 years old are always FREE at the museum.

Built in the 1920s by artist and educator Marion Koogler McNay, The McNay Art Museum engages a diverse community in the discovery and enjoyment of the visual arts.
The 24-room, Spanish colonial revival-style mansion focuses primarily on 19th and 20th-century European and American art and has some impressive pieces by artists such as Paul Cezanne, Pablo Picasso, Paul Gauguin, Henri Matisse, Georgia O’Keeffe, Diego Rivera, Mary Cassatt, and Edward Hopper.
